Environmental Testing
TestSafe Australia has a well-established capability to undertake the following environmental testing:
IP testing (degree of protection provided by enclosures
AS 60529-2004)
TestSafe Australia is NATA accredited for IP testing up to IP68. This covers IPX8 to a depth of 30 metres for most articles. Fast turnaround is offered with test equipment that is able to operate 24 hours per day when required.
Temperature and High Humidity Testing
TestSafe Australia has several environmental chambers. The largest chamber is 1500 X 1500 X 1800 and this chamber does temperatures from -40 C to 100 C. The temperature humidity chamber is capable of up to 90 % RH and 95 C and down to -40 C. This chamber measures 600 X 450 X 500 and testing is conducted to specific Australian and International standards.
Impact Testing
A specially developed impact jig is capable of conducting mechanical impact tests up to 30 joules on articles and enclosures. This testing can be conducted to specific Australian and International standards.
Pressure Testing
TestSafe Australia has installed a range of equipment for conducting pressure tests on enclosures hoses and fittings. Pressures can be applied by using hydraulic fluids, water or air. Pressures up to 35,000 KPA are common and up to 72,000 KPA with special equipment. This testing is conducted to specific Australian and International standards.
Flammability Testing
Flammability testing is undertaken on a variety of materials and insulators. This testing is conducted to specific Australian and International standards.
Note: All test equipment and instruments are calibrated to NATA requirements to comply with the range of NATA Accreditations held by TestSafe for most testing operations.
TestSafe Australia tests electrical equipment and for compliance with many national and international standards. It provides test reports providing independent proof of testing and compliance with the standards. It also provides independent certification of explosion protected electrical equipment.
