International (Ex) Certification

TestSafe has successfully completed the IECEx assessment as well as the required 5 yr re-assessment process and is accepted to operate within the IECEx Scheme (International Electrotechnical Commission Certification Scheme) as an ExTL (Testing Laboratory) as well as an ExCB (Certification Body). TestSafe application forms for IECEx Certification.

The IECEx Scheme, similar to the ANZEx Scheme, is a quality-based scheme that requires the issue of a Test Report and a Quality Assessment Report (QAR) in order for a Certificate of Conformity to be issued. A QAR is issued on the basis of a successful on-site assessment of a manufacturer's quality system. Surveillance audits of the manufacturer are conducted annually or twice per year, depending on whether the manufacturer holds current ISO 9001 certification. TestSafe's quality auditors are trained to conduct on-site quality audits under the IECEx, ANZEx and ATEX framework.

Under this Scheme, TestSafe is able to provide their clients with an IECEx Test Report (ExTR), IECEx Quality Assessment Report (QAR), and an IECEx Certificate of Conformity.

The scope of TestSafe's activities within the IECEx Scheme is specified by the IECEx Management Committee and recorded on the IECEx Website: http://www.iecex.com.

The general rules and policies of the IECEx scheme are contained in IECEx 01-Basic Rules, IECEx 02-Rules of Procedure, and the various IECEx Operational Documents available on the IECEx website.
