Ajay has extensive experience with explosion protected electrical equipment and accident investigations. He is an expert member of the International Electro-Technical Commission's IEC SC31G/MT, a member of the IEC SC31G, SAA EL14/4 and P8/1 Committees. Ajay is widely regarded for his international involvement with the development of IEC 60079.11, 5th Edition. He is a NATA signatory for various explosion protection techniques including intrinsic safety and encapsulation, and is accredited as a lead auditor for MP87 certification.

Apart from English he is fluent in Hindi.
