Alan has more than 30 years of experience in facilities management, building, landscape and horticulture. He has been previously employed at Department of Corrective Services where he initiated inmate horticultural industry training programs and at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney where he was involved in a number of major projects. Highlights of his work experience include playing a principal role in the construction and development of the Mount Annan Botanical Garden as well as the Sydney Fernery, Herb and Oriental gardens.

He is a Member of the Facilities Management Association.
