Daniel has more than 17 years experience as a Telecommunications Engineer with the Hong Kong Office of the Telecommunications Authority. He had major involvement in the broadcasting frequency coordination with China's provinces and the technical trial on digital audio broadcasting in Hong Kong. He had also worked as a Senior Electronics Engineer with a multimedia and communications company where he gained extensive experience in circuit design and microcontroller firmware development.

He speaks fluent Cantonese.
