Robbie is the current Director of TestSafe Australia since April 2008. He was formerly Manager of the Chemical Analysis Branch at Thornleigh for over 20 years. He has worked in the Analytical Chemistry Area since 1977 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours, majoring in Inorganic Chemistry. He also has Graduate Diplomas in Clinical Biochemistry and Occupational Hygiene and has a Certificate in Public Sector Management.

A Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists, Robbie is also a Certified Occupational Hygienist, a Member of the American Congress of Governmental Industrial Hygienists and the American Society for Quality. He is at present the Chairman of NATA's Occupational Hygiene Technical Group and is a member of NATA's Chemical Testing Accreditation Advisory Committee. He is also the Chairperson of the Standards Australia Committee CH-031 On Workplace Atmospheres.

Robbie has published over 30 papers in the scientific literature and is a NATA Assessor.
