Russell has more than 33 years of experience in electrical engineering, design and technical investigations including 16 years with Pacific Power. He has been employed at TestSafe since 1997 and is primarily focussed on assessment and testing of electrical equipment in hazardous areas. He possesses an Electrical Contractor's Licence.
During six years of employment with Energy Australia he was involved in the testing of appliances to Australian Standards for electrical safety and fire risk, the training of staff and the testing of high voltage switchgear and associated sub-station plant.
In his current role, he is a NATA signatory for various Explosion Protection Testing including Ex (e), Ex (d), Ex (n), Ingress Protection, and Dust-excluding ignition proof (DIP).
In addition he has undertaken product certification audits both in Australia and internationally.
