Ingress protection (IP) testing
Ingress protection tests are carried out to determine if the electrical equipment can prevent dust and liquid from entering inside and coming into contact with live or hot parts.
The testing requirements for electrical equipment using ingress protection (IP) are specified in International Standard IEC 60529 and Australian Standard AS 60529.
TestSafe Australia is accredited by NATA to carryout IP testing up to IP68.
We can test for IPX8 to a depth of 30 metres for most types of equipment.
We can provide fast turnaround of IP tests, as our dust testing equipment is capable of operating 24 hours per day, when required.
See our ingress protection information sheet for more information about preparation of an enclosure for IP testing.
IP testing to other Standards, or similar test specifications, may also be possible.
Book your test by filling out an application form.
